Getting Prepared for Mt Kilimanjaro: Candidate Training
Congratulations on securing an internship on the 100 Black Interns Programme commencing Summer 2021. This is the first step on your path to becoming a successful professional in the asset management industry. But even with an internship, it is far from guaranteed that you will end up with a permanent role. For that to happen you will need to Get Ready! well before you start your internship.
So, we are going to provide you with all the training you will need to show up and be amazing.
The 100 Black Interns - Kilimanjaro Training Programme will include:
Interviews with some of the industry’s most successful leaders – their stories: the failure and the success!
Webinars explaining the inner workings of the industry – delivered by industry experts who will talk through everything you need to know
Panel discussions with successful Black people currently working in asset management – how to make the most of your internship and increase the likelihood of securing a job offer
An Online Training Program with essential modules to complete along with Lesson Plans
Mentor and Buddy sessions
Team bonding sessions where you will get to know the other participants in the 100 Black Interns Programme
The Kilimanjaro Training Programme will be intense and enjoyable. We are fully aware that you also need to study for your exams over the next few months and this program will be additional work, but we are confident that just two hours a week will allow you to complete the training programme successfully. It will be completely manageable alongside your studies.
We have structured the live sessions to run for 45 mins every Tuesday and Thursday at 17:00 – 17:45. Every session will be game-changing for you so block out these times now and come to as many as possible.
